Pakistan reports 7,963 coronavirus cases, 27 deaths in 24 hours

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan has reported 27 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 1,410,033. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 29,219 on Saturday.
According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 7,963 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
Province-wise Details
Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Till now 13,139 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab, 7,800 in Sindh 5,994 in KP, 979 in Islamabad, 752 in Azad Kashmir, 367 in Balochistan, and 188 in GB.
Furthermore 538,196 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 474,208 in Punjab 190,578 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 125,203 in Islamabad, 36,967 in Azad Kashmir 34,277 in Balochistan and 10,604 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Tests and Recoveries
Pakistan has so far conducted 24,893,290 coronavirus tests and 70,389 in the last 24 hours. 1,276,719 patients have recovered in the country whereas 1,375 patients are in critical condition.

The COVID-19 positivity ratio was recorded at 11.31 percent.
Vaccine Statistics
So far, 104,228,089 people have received their first dose of coronavirus vaccine including 223,230 in last 24 hours. 80,748,105 citizens have been fully vaccinated while 322,467 received their second dose in last 24 hours.
The number of total administered doses has reached to 174,085,175 with 605,450 in the last 24 hours.
