Pakistan reports 25 deaths from COVID-19, highest in over three months

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan has reported 25 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 1,393,887. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 29,162 on Thursday.
According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 7,539 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
Province-wise Details
Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Till now 13,126 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab, 7,765 in Sindh 5,986 in KP, 979 in Islamabad, 752 in Azad Kashmir, 367 in Balochistan, and 187 in GB.
Furthermore 533,496 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 469,540 in Punjab 187,983 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 122,098 in Islamabad, 36,082 in Azad Kashmir 34,131 in Balochistan and 10,557 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Tests and Recoveries
Pakistan has so far conducted 24,754,277 coronavirus tests and 63,272 in the last 24 hours. 1,272,871 patients have recovered in the country whereas 1,240 patients are in critical condition.

The COVID-19 positivity ratio was recorded at 11.91 percent.
Vaccine Statistics
So far, 104,004,859 people have received their first dose of coronavirus vaccine including 199,024 in last 24 hours. 80,425,638 citizens have been fully vaccinated while 383,665 received their second dose in last 24 hours.
The number of total administered doses has reached to 173,479,725 with 643,689 in the last 24 hours.
