Terrorist killed, two arrested in Miranshah military operation

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Security forces on Friday killed a terrorist and apprehended two others, while one Pakistan Army soldier embraced martyrdom in two different incidents in Jani Khel area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Bannu district and Miranshah.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), during an intelligence based operation (IBO) conducted on reported presence of terrorists in North Wazirstan’s Miranshah area, the security forces killed a terrorist and apprehended two others.
The security forces recovered weapons and ammunition from the terrorists.
The area clearance operation was in progress to hunt down any other terrorist in the area, it added.
Soldier martyred
On the other hand, in Jani Khel area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Bannu district, one Pakistan Army soldier embraced martyrdom in the fight against terrorists.
“On the night of January 13-14, 2022, terrorists fired on a military post in Jani Khel,” the statement said.
The ISPR said that Pakistan Army troops initiated a prompt response and effectively engaged the terrorists’ location.
However, during the intense exchange of fire with terrorists, the 26-year-old Sepoy Sarfaraz Ali, a resident of Vehari, embraced martyrdom.
