Cantonment boards polls: PTI prepares report on its defeat in Lahore

LAHORE (Dunya News) –Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Monday has prepared a report regarding its defeat in Cantonment boards elections in Lahore.

Sources told that questions have been raised in the report over the development work being carried out in Lahore. The report mentioned lack of development projects as the main reason behind PTI’s defeat in Lahore.

The candidates have not visited their constituencies since 2018, the report stated.

It is to be mentioned here that PTI has managed to grab three seats in Lahore while Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) took six seats out of 10.

According to unofficial results of 212 wards across the country, PTI emerged as winner at 60 seats while PML-N secured 59 seats. Independent candidates remained third with 55 seats.

Pakistan People’s Party secured 17 seats. Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) got 10 seats and Jamaat-e-Islami grabbed seven seats. Awami National Party (ANP) and Balochistan Awami Party got two seats each.
