Pakistan sends planeload of humanitarian aid to Afghanistan

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Tons of food and medical supplies donated by Pakistan reached Khost on Saturday to address the impending humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan.

Pakistan’s Ambassador in Kabul Mansoor Ahmad Khan in a tweet said Pakistan’s humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan is continuing effectively. 

The relief supplies were handed over to Afghan authorities.

Meanwhile, Deputy governor of Khost Mohammad Din Shah Mohabad said the plane brought 12 tonnes of food items, including some medicines.

He said the aid would be distributed transparently to needy families in the province.

According to him, another plane carrying food items from the United Arab Emirates had also landed at Khost airport on Friday.
