SC rejects Pakistan steel employees' appeal regarding promotions
CJP Justice Gulzar Ahmed remarked there was no error in the decision of Sindh High Court.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC) has rejected the appeal of Pakistan steel employees regarding promotions.
Hearing on the appeal of Pakistan steel employees regarding promotion was held in Supreme Court Karachi registry on Friday.
Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Gulzar Ahmed remarked there was no error in the decision of Sindh High Court (SHC).
The court remarked as to why the employees should be promoted as the Pakistan steel was closed since 2015. Justice Ijazul Ahsan said there were no funds to even run the Pakistan steel mills.
Chief Justice Gulzar Ahmed remarked it looked like Pakistan steel employees were doing jobs elsewhere as well. The court further said that the employees were drawing paychecks without providing any services as the Pakistan steel was closed down.
