Zardari 'gags' Mirza, calls him to Presidency

President Zardari has taken notice of Zulfiqar Mirzas statement and called him to Presidency.

Mirza’s statement led to large scale protests in some parts of the country. The President has barred Mirza from making political statements, and imposed restrictions on his political activites. Spokesperson of the President Farhatullah Babar said that Mirza had been summoned in the wake of controversial statement given by him last night. The Pakistan Peoples Party has already disowned the statement and called on its rank and file to show restraint in public statements. Mirza was asked to immediately report to the party leadership in the Federal Capital.
