Reshuffling of SAPMs is also on the cards: sources

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The federal cabinet is expected to undergo another reshuffle after Prime Minister Imran Khan recovers from coronavirus, sources privy to the development said.

As per the sources, Shibli Faraz, Faisal Vawda and Usman Dar are expected to join the cabinet again. Reshuffling of Special Assistants to Prime Ministers (SAPMs) is also on the cards.

Earlier on Friday, Prime Minister Imran Khan asked Special Assistant on Petroleum Nadeem Babar to resign from his post.

Asad Umar, while making the announcement, said that the prime minister has also removed Secretary for Petroleum Division from his post and asked him to report to the Establishment Division once his replacement is finalized.

The minister said that neither SAPM on Petroleum Nadeem Babar or the Secretary Petroleum Mian Asad Hayaud Din has been found guilty in the Petroleum Crisis occurred last year, however, they have been asked to resign for a transparent investigation into the matter.
