Chinese President pens letter to PM Imran, wishes him speedy recovery
He stressed that China would always stand firmly with Pakistan and join hands to defeat the pandemic
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Chinese President Xi Jinping on Thursday wrote a letter to Prime Minister Imran Khan and wished him a speedy recovery.
Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Nong Rong took to the twitter to make the announcement saying, “President Xi Jinping sent a letter to Hon. PM Imran Khan and wished him a speedy recovery.”

On Monday, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang had also sent a letter to Prime Minister Imran Khan, wishing him speedy recovery from COVID-19. China’s ambassador in Pakistan Nong Rong confirmed in a tweet that Premier Li in his letter conveyed best wishes for Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Premier Li said that Pakistan would definitely achieve victory over the pandemic under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
On Sunday, Saudi Arabia’s King Salman sent a cable to Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan after he tested positive for COVID-19
“We have learned of the news of your infection with the new coronavirus, and we send our best wishes for good health and wellness and a speedy recovery from this virus, and that you do not see any harm,” the king said.
Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman also sent Khan a similar cable, wishing him a speedy recovery and continued health and wellness, SPA said.
On Saturday, PM Imran Khan, 67, tested positive for the COVID-19, two days after he took the first shot of a vaccine developed by China.
PM Imran Khan has tested positive for COVID-19 and is self-isolating at home, Dr Faisal Sultan, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination tweeted. Pakistan Prime Minister s Office also confirmed the same in a tweet.
Khan is experiencing mild symptoms and will continue working from home. "Prime Minister Imran Khan tests positive for coronavirus, is experiencing mild symptoms . He will self-quarantine at home however will continue to work from home over video conference," Pakistani Senator Faisal Javed tweeted.
Khan was vaccinated as part of the nationwide anti-coronavirus vaccination campaign which is underway in its first phase. He took the first dose of the Chinese coronavirus vaccine Sinopharm, which becomes effective after two successful doses.
