KARACHI (Dunya News) – Former president and Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari on Tuesday said that today is the day to reiterate our resolve to follow the ideology and philosophy of the founder of the nation, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

In a message on the Pakistan Day, Asif Ali Zardari felicitated the nation and said that on this day we should pay homage to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country.

The PPP chairman said that Quaid-e-Awam, Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto taught us to love our country and the country cannot forget the leaders who gave the nation the nuclear and missile technology.

He went on to say that the thinking of hatred and vendetta has harmed the country, adding that the country was also harmed by imposing rulers without the will of the people.

Asif Zardari said, “We have to treat all units of Pakistan equally and this is the recipe of a strong, stable and developed Pakistan.”

“The state will be strengthened by following the constitution,” he said and added the 18th amendment in the constitution is the assurance for stable and strong Pakistan with an inclusive federation.
