Unofficial results: PPP wins PS-52 Umerkot-II by-election

PPP candidate Syed Ameer Ali Shah secured 55,904 votes to win PS-52 Umerkot by-election.

UMERKOT (Dunya News) - Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) won the by-election in the Sindh Assembly constituency PS-52 Umerkot-II on Monday, Dunya News reported.

According to unofficial results, PPP candidate Syed Ameer Ali Shah secured 55,904 to win the PS-52 Umerkot-II by-election. Arbab Ghulam Rahim of Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) remained runners up after bagging 30,921 votes.

At least 128 polling stations and 423 polling booths were set up for 153,000 registered voters in the constituency for the by-election. Tight security arrangements were made to maintain law and order situation in the constituency.
