Saleem Mandviwalla vowed to continue struggle until NAB representatives declare assets.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Senate Deputy Chairman Saleem Mandviwalla has on Friday said that notices are being sent to humiliate people and the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) should be stopped from the mistakes that it is making.

Addressing the Senate, Saleem Mandviwalla said what will happen to a common man if even the Parliament is scared. He vowed to continue his struggle and said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) Dr. Babar Awan also supported his stance.

The deputy chairman further added that people approach him and request to save them from the anti-graft body. The NAB affectees will stand by us and we will continue to raise voice for them and hold weekly pressers, he remarked.

Saleem Mandviwalla said that why the government is objecting to the accountability of the NAB. We will continue our efforts until the representatives of the anti-corruption watchdog declare their assets, he stressed.

Former Law Minister Dr. Babar Awan also spoke to the Upper House and clarified that no National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) will be given to anyone at any forum. We cannot stop the accountability process against those who looted the country, he said.

Babar Awan said the government is ready to hold reforms and amendments on every matter expect pardoning the corrupt elements. The Parliament cannot pass any judgment; however, Public Accounts Committee (APC) can hold inquiry or check official accounts, he said.
