Asif Zardari condoles with Shehbaz Sharif over death of his mother
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Former President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari has telephoned Mian Shehbaz Sharif and expressed condolences over the death of his mother.
Asif Ali Zardari said that I am with you in this hour of grief and also prayed for late Begum Shamim Akhtar.
The mother of Sharif brothers had recently passed away in London. She was living in London with her eldest son Nawaz Sharif.
After the funeral prayers in London, her body was brought to Pakistan. Mian Shehbaz Sharif along with his son and other family members received the body from the airport.
The deceased was later taken to Jati Umra where thousands of people attended her funeral prayers.
It may be recalled that Mian Shehbaz Sharif and his son Hamza Shahbaz were released on parole to attend the funeral.
