PM directs to highlight Ayaz Sadiq's statement at grassroots level
He said that the PML-N is also divided over narrative against Pakistan Army
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday directed to highlight the statement of former national assembly speaker and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Sardar Ayaz Sadiq against national security at the grassroots level.
A meeting of spokespersons was held under the chairmanship of the prime minister in which future strategy regarding political, economic situation of the country and the rallies of the opposition was reviewed.
According to sources, the statement of the former speaker national assembly was also discussed in the meeting. PM Imran directed to raise the negative statement of Ayaz Sadiq to the public level and said that the people of Pakistan love the army.
He said that the PML-N is also divided over narrative against Pakistan Army, adding that the government’s narrative and actions should be effectively highlighted.
The prime minister also directed to expedite public welfare projects.
Imran Khan while directing the members of the assembly present in the meeting to mobilize said that the aim of the opposition was only to get National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO).
“The interests of the opposition and Pakistan are different,” he said and added the corruption of the opposition should be exposed to the public as much as possible.
