The electricity load shedding has crippled the cycle of life in the country.
The electricity shortfall has jumped up to 6,700 megawatt as the Jamshoro transmission line tripped.According to Pakistan Electric Power Company (PEPCO), the transmission line tripped due to the excessive moisture and it would be restored soon.Meanwhile the unscheduled load shedding continued in Peshawar.Peshawar city is suffering a power outage of up to 16 hours a day while in the outskirts of the city the power is suspended for 20 hours a day.The Karachi Electric Supply Corporation failed to repair the line faults despite repeated warnings of monsoon rains.It is feared that Karachi may have to face a serious power breakdown during monsoon rain.
