Bilawal meets IGP Sindh, expresses full confidence on him, other police officers

The meeting urged the officers to reconsider their decision

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Tuesday met Sindh Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mushtaq Meher and expressed full confidence on him and other senior police officers.

The PPP chairman IGP Sindh Mushtaq Meher at his residence in Karachi and appreciated the role of police against terrorism and crime.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and other members of the provincial cabinet were also present in the meeting.

In the meeting, it was decided not to give leave to anyone including IG Sindh. The meeting also urged the officers to reconsider their decision, to which assurance of full support was also given.

Bilawal, as the leader of the ruling party, condemned the Karachi incident in front of senior police officers and said that the police had rendered commendable services against terrorism and crime.

He said that Sindh police’s performance against anti-national elements was exemplary. The security of the Chinese Consulate is an evidence that the Sindh Police has played an important role in the security of foreign affairs.

He said that the defense of Karachi Stock Market is a proof that Sindh Police sacrificed lives for the protection of Pakistan s economic.

Bilawal went on to say that the Sindh government was also carrying out investigation.
