Maulana Adil murder case: Four member investigation committee formed to arrest accused

KARACHI (Dunya News) - A four-member investigation committee has been formed to arrest the accused involved in the assassination of Maulana Adil Khan and his driver in Karachi while a case of attack has been registered in Shah Faisal police station.

According to details, expanding the scope of investigation into the Maulana Adil Khan murder case, a four-member high-level committee comprising officers of Karachi Police has been formed on the directives of IG Sindh Mushtaq Mehr.

According to a Karachi Police statement, the committee will be headed by Karachi Police Chief Ghulam Nabi Memon. The committee consists of DIG CTD Omar Shahid, DI East and SSP Korangi.

The statement said that the inquiry committee would update IG Sindh on a daily basis. The committee will be able to get members from any other unit to assist it.

Meanwhile, a case of murder of Maulana Adil Khan and his driver has been registered on the complaint of SHO Shah Faisal police station. The lawsuit includes murder and anti-terrorism provisions. After the registration of the case, the investigation has been transferred to CTD.
