Terrorism provisions have been included in Maulana Adil's murder case

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Case of religious scholar Maulana Adil’s murder on Tuesday has been registered on the behalf of Station House Officer (SHO) of Shah Faisal Colony police station in Karachi.

According to details, terrorism provisions have been included in the case and the investigation process has been handed over to Counter Terrorism Department (CTD).

On October 10, 2020, Maulana Adil and his driver were killed by unidentified armed suspects in Karachi when they stopped at Shama Shopping Center.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and Inspector General of Police (IGP) taking notice of the firing incident had directed the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Korangi to submit an inquiry report into the matter.

CM maintained that the miscreants wanted to disrupt law and order situation in the city. The chief minister vowed to bring the killers to justice. 

Ullema Committee in Karachi had threatened to hold strike and protest if security personnel fail to arrest the murderers of Maulana Adil in 48 hours.

The police officers told new weapon was used in the assassination of the religious scholar and his driver. Ten suspects were detained in connection with the case.
