No more lockdown if COVID-19 situation improves: Dr Yasmin

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Provincial Health Minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid while expressing hope said that if the situation of coronavirus remained in control, it will be the last lockdown.

In an exclusive interview with Dunya News program "Dunya Kamran Khan Kay Sath", she said that Allah has a special grace on Pakistan. She said very hopefully that good news will come out in next 8 days. If the situation remains in control then government will re-open everything. We will know the exact position within the next few days regarding Coronavirus.

She clarified that the epidemic has not ended in Pakistan, today 172 cases have been reported. Citizens have not followed precautionary measures at all and we have to be careful next time.

Dr Yasmeen Rashid said that after seeing the influx of people in the markets, there was a fear that the cases would increase. Today we had to tighten the lockdown, but the food and livestock markets are not being closed.

Talking during the program, she said that thank God the situation is much better. Fortunately, there were no deaths in Punjab today.
