ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has on Wednesday dismissed the petition seeking Federal Minister for Aviation Ghulam Sarwar Khan’s removal while announcing its reserved verdict.

IHC Chief Justice Athar Minallah conducted the hearing. The count maintained in its decision that it is Prime Minister Imran Khan’s prerogative to take action against Ghulam Sarwar Khan if his statement harmed Pakistan.

It is pertinent here to mention that the petition – filed by Tariq Asad Advocate – had argued that the aviation minister gave irresponsible statement regarding pilots of the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA).

Following Ghulam Sarwar Khan’s remarks, PIA flights were banned in Europe for six months, Tariq Asad said while adding that the minister should have taken a secret action against those with fake licenses.
