Investigation into Peshawar blasts starts

A case has been registered against unidentified perpetrators in Gulburg Police Station, Peshawar.

Police have started investigation into Khyber Super Market bomb blasts, which claimed 35 lives.The bomb disposal squad visited the bombing site while investigation teams have started to gather evidence. Police have also cordoned off the area due to security concerns.Residents of damaged flats and shops have started to move out of the area. According to information, work is in progress to restore electricity supply of the area which was cut off due to powerful explosions.Meanwhile, Peshawar Commissioner Akbar Khan said that the incident was not a security lapse.
