MQM alleged that ANP was involved in kidnapping and torturing of MPA Aleem-ur-Rehman.

Holding an emergency press conference in Karachi press club, MQM Sindh Assembly members said that armed people of ANP kidnapped Aleem-ur-Rehman and tortured him in Purani Sabzi Mandi, Gulshan-e-Iqbal area.Aleem was released with the help of local SHO. The MQM members said that the citizens of Karachi could stand up if these acts were not stopped.On the other hand, ANP turned the allegation of kidnapping as a false accusation and stated that MQM wanted to sabotage the peace of the city.
