Govt determined for revival of Pakistan Railways: Dr Firdous

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said on Saturday that the government has been determined for the development and revival of the Pakistan Railways.

In a series of tweets, she said Prime Minister Imran Khan considered the rail and road networks as “the backbone for the development and economy of the country.”

Referring to the establishment of Azakhel, Nowshera railway dry port, she pointed out that it would prove to be instrumental in promotion of trade activities and generation of job opportunities.

Dr Awan stated that within a short period of 12 months, the Azakhel Dry Port has been completed, and the project was a testimony to the Railway Minister’s sincere efforts, and a manifestation of a change in the railway in the “Naya Pakistan.”
