Protest by blind people outside CM House enters third day in Lahore

Blind protestors are demanding equal employment opportunities for themselves.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – The protest by blind people outside Chief Minister’s House entered its third day today (Nov 6.) where demonstrators chanted slogans against social welfare department for a "regularised livelihood".

According to the report, the blind people had a clash with the police after they lifted the barriers. The police stopped the blind protestors from moving towards Mall Road where an angry blind man slapped a policeman.

The police expressed that the blind protestors tried to abuse them. A long queue of heavy traffic was witnessed when the blind demonstrators tried to block the road.

People with visual disabilities has been staging a sit-in against the government since November 4. They are demanding equal employment opportunities for themselves.
