The committee takes notice of delay in Islamabad jail project.

Addressing the National Judicial Policymaking Committee (NJPMC)’s concluding session, Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry said the investigation process in Pakistan was deteriorating day by day, which needs to be improved. He stressed upon police and other authorities to improve the method so that speedy justice could be provided. The CJP ordered to form police complaint authority to stop the violation of law and poor performance. The meeting also discussed various issues and problems which causes delay in completion of investigation and submission of challan. The committee also recommended the Hiv and Hepatitis tests of prisoners.
