One more patient diagnosed with Congo virus in Karachi

Congo fever is a tick-borne viral disease which is mainly transferred to humans from pets.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – One more patient diagnosed with Congo virus in Karachi on Wednesday. The blood samples of 15-year-old boy were sent to laboratory for test and found positive for the disease.
With the recent diagnosis, the number of Congo patients admitted in various hospitals in the city during ongoing year has reached 27. Congo virus epidemic has claimed 14 lives in Karachi this year.
Congo fever is a tick-borne viral disease which is mainly transferred to humans from pets. Its symptoms include fever, flu, bloody urine, vomiting and nose bleeding.
