Raza Rabbani demands govt to present agreement with IMF in parliament

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) leader and Senator Mian Raza Rabbani on Thursday demanded the government to present agreement with International Monetary Fund (IMF) in the parliament.

Addressing a press conference at Karachi Press Club on Thursday, he said that if the agreement with the international lender is not presented in the parliament, the PPP won’t accept it, adding that his party’s concerns on the agreement should be addressed.

The former Senate chairman went on to say that under the constitution, the shares of provices cannot be decreased in NFC awards.

Rabbani said: “Efforts were underway to abolish 18th amendment, impose ex-president Ayub Khan’s development model and bring presidential system in the counrty.

“The PPP will stage protest against government’s failed policies after Eidul Fitr,” he added.
