SC rejects investigation report in Steel Mills corruption case

The SC has expressed its dissatisfaction over FIA investigation in Steel Mills corruption.

A three-member bench of Supreme Court headed by Justice Javed Iqbal conducted hearing on the Steel Mills corruption case.FIA submitted the investigation report. The court was told that FIA was facing difficulties in getting information from the accused in corruption case who were residing out of the country.Bench member Justice Raja Fayaz Ahmad, rejecting the investigation report, remarked that FIA functions actively against poor instead of putting hands on the rich.Justice Javed Iqbal remarked that absence of Steel Mills chairman was also a main reason of mismanagement. The court directed FIA to arrest accuse Riaz Lal Ji and others who fled the country.The court adjourned the hearing in the case for two weeks.
