Justice Qazi Muhammad Amin Ahmad takes oath as judge of SC

Justice Ahmad has been a judge of the Lahore High Court (LHC) from November 2014 to March 2019.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Justice Qazi Muhammad Amin Ahmad on Wednesday took oath as a judge of the Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP).

Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Asif Saeed Khan Khosa administered him the oath at a ceremony in Islamabad. The ceremony was attended by judges and lawyers of the SCP.

Justice Ahmad has been a judge of the Lahore High Court (LHC) from November 2014 to March 2019.

He has been appointed in the SCP following a recommendation of the judicial commission and thereby, the number of judges in the SCP has increased to 17.

After approval of parliamentary committee, President Arif Alvi issued directives for his appointment.
