LORALAI (Dunya News) – Business places and markets are closed as the people are mourning over the killings in terror attack on DIG complex in Loralai.

Meanwhile, preparations are on to offer funeral prayers of the deceased. According to reports, two of the martyrs are to be buried in Killa Saifullah and Jafarabad.



On the other hand, 12 injured of the attack are under treatment at different hospitals.

Earlier, at least nine people including three policemen were martyred when militants stormed the office of deputy inspector general of police in Loralai district of Balochistan.

According to a press release issued by medical superintendant Loralai Teaching Hospital, the dead included a head constable, a constable, Balochistan Constabulary personnel, four ‘Class IV’ police employees, a sweeper as well as one civilian.

"Senior police officials were busy selecting candidates for different categories of civilian jobs when these terrorists entered the compound and hurled hand grenades," Balochistan police chief Mohsin Butt told AFP.

"Police officials opened fire on them killing one of the terrorists," he said, adding that the two remaining gunmen went into hiding in the building and later blew themselves up.

Three of those killed were policemen and six were civilian staff members, while twenty people were injured in the crossfire, Butt said.

Prime Minister Imran Khan has strongly condemned attack on DIG Complex Loralai. He lauded the timely action of Frontier Constabulary and Pak Army personnel. He said coward act of enemies’ reflects their defeated mindset.

Prime Minister Khan said morale of our Army, Police and nation is high and there is no space for terrorists and their facilitators in the country.

PM Khan prayed for the martyrs and speedy recovery of the injured of the attack.
