Murad Ali Shah should have resigned before reference filing: Shahzad Akbar

Akbar was talking exclusively in Dunya News' programme "Dunya Kamran Khan key Sath".
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Advisor to PM on accountability Barrister Shahzad Akbar on Thursday said that the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) has suggested six references to be filed as they have enough data that cannot be disavowed.
Talking exclusively in Dunya News programme "Dunya Kamran Khan key Sath" PM s adviser while terming the Pakistan Peoples Party s (PPP) chairperson Bilawal Bhutto an innocent man said that he should read the history deeply as he does not know the new and old one.
“He [Bilawal] had not seen the accountability process during the rule of former president Pervez Musharraf since they got NRO, however; he had seen the accountability of Nawaz s tenure,” maintained Akbar.
JIT, whose report exposed Asif Zardari, was formed on the directions of Supreme Court (SC), he added.
“Case had been registered against the former president in 2015 but he is blaming PTI government for that,” notified Akbar.
He further added that Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah should leave the post on moral ground before filing the references over the recommendations of JIT.
“Government has no role in this matter as case is in court so we will wait for the proceedings till Monday,” told Akbar.
Responding to a question, Shahzad Akbar stated there were information that some persons could leave the country so we had no other option except placing them on Exit Control List (ECL).
