CJP asks Chairman Water Commission to continue work till Jan 15, 2019

Justice (retd) Ameer Hani sighted personal reasons for not seeking an extension his tenure.

KARACHI (Dunya News) - Hearing of the case relating to clean and safe drinking water and sanitation facilities in Sindh resumed at the at Supreme Court’s Karachi Registry on Tuesday. Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Mian Sabiq Nisar heard the case.

During the hearing, Chairman Water Commission Justice (retd) Ameer Hani Muslim requested the court to not extend his tenure as head of the Water Commission.

Justice (retd) Ameer Hani sighted personal reasons for not seeking an extension his tenure.

CJP Justice Mian Sabiq Nisar asked Justice (retd) Ameer Hani to continue his work till January 15, 2019. He said that the new Chief Justice of Pakistan will decide about the appointment of new chairman of the Water Commission.
