A police check post was exploded near Independence square in Mardan, no casualty was reported.

A bomb was planted in the adjacent building to the check post and exploded at late on Saturday night. Five officials were present in the post at the time of explosion but they noticed a smoke just before the explosion and moved out from the post. According to the police, four to five kilograms of explosive was used in the explosion. Later, the police conducted a search operation in the area and arrested 25 suspected people.
