Scholarship programme will not be affected due to devolution of the HEC, says Rabbani.

Federal Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination Senator Mian Raza Rabbani said that the Higher Education Commission (HEC) was not abolished but some powers were transferred to provinces.Addressing a press conference, he said that the students, who had gone to the foreign countries for higher education, would complete their study under the scholarship programme. The US promised to continue providing funds to Pakistan for higher education, he added.He said that Federal Finance Ministry had issued the grant of universities and devolution of the HEC would not affect the admission quota system in the colleges.
