The court shows concern that Punjab government hold talks after 37 days.

Lahore High Court Chief Justice Ijaz Ahmed Chaudhry on Thursday summoned the Punjab chief secretary and the representatives of the young doctors. The court heard a writ petition seeking to declare the young doctors’ strike unlawful. The court observed that patients were dying and the doctors were observing strike.The counsel for the Punjab government told the court that the doctors had joined duties in emergency wards after successful talks with the Punjab government. The court observed that the Punjab government had completely failed to handle the young doctors’ strike and now the government held talks after 37 days strike. The court summoned the chief secretary and the doctors’ representatives for Friday (tomorrow).
