Thar have not seen rains for the last two years that has caused such a large scale natural calamity

(DunyaNews/WebDesk) - An appalling and atrocious drought worsens more and more the most food and water scarce region of Sindh – Achro Thar. The severe dearth in Thar is now usurping the cattle and livestock of the locals, who already, have been suffering from the horrible outcomes of the harsh and ruthless weather conditions of region, water scarcity and food shortage as the nomads living mainly depends upon the livestock.

Thousands of cattle have by now fallen prey to the sporadic malnutrition and water-borne diseases, shortage of food and drought which makes lives miserable for Tharis under the sizzling hot weather.

Thar’s threatening crisis is not new. So far, shocking number of Tharis have committed suicide, thousands of children’s lost their liver and uncountable number of livestock and cattle have been vanished.

The deadly thirsty desert have not seen the rains for the last two years that has caused such a large Scale natural calamity.

While talking to Dunya News, the local residents of Sindh have told that their animals are getting died one after another due to severe climate conditions and lack of fodder, water and basic medical facilities in Achro Thar.

One of the Thari told Dunya News that his most of the livestock has already dead, some were killed by the terrible illness and lack of facilities where as other are victims of lack of fodder and water dearth. They are compelled to live on begging and suppliant, in all these circumstances, how they can manage to take care of the well-being of their livestock.

In such atrocious and excruciating conditions of living, most of the nomads have sold out their remaining cattle and now are looking to the government to provide them noting but provisions of food and water. They neither demand for Dam to secure their future water needs nor do they have a demand of ultra-lavish infrastructure; they just want to have enough food so they can live one day more.

The abysmal living conditions in Achhro Thar are getting worse every other day. Exposing the tall claims of the provincial government’s crisis management in Thar and the cruelty of dreadful climatic and deplorable living conditions, almost every household of the region is a depiction of hunger, drought, harsh climate and impoverished living.

The terrible conditions of living of humans and their cattle is a blatant criminal negligence. So far , alone in 2018 more than 500 children are succumbed to the water and food scarcity and severe climate situations. Every year almost 1500 children die of malnutrition, infections and lack of proper medical facilities in the neglected region.
