Hashmi dubs Imran Khan 'showpiece'
The veteran politician refrained from commenting on Mashhood's statement.
MULTAN (Dunya News) – Veteran politican Makhdoom Javed Hashmi on Tuesday said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government was not formulating pro-people policies.
Talking to media at his residence in Multan, Hashmi referred to Imran Khan as “a showpiece who doesn’t even know the names of his cabinet members”.
He decried the Supreme Court’s decision which ousted Nawaz Sharif from premiership, saying judiciary had dual standards when it came to provision of justice.
“Democracy in this country is handicapped but it shouldn’t be stopped from working. Unfortunately, I cannot anticipate Imran Khan’s government running smoothly,” he added.
The veteran politican said former prime minister Nawaz Sharif had become a revolutionary, adding that Rana Mashhood’s statement was his personal opinion.
