Ahsan Jamil Gujjar seeks unconditional apology in Pakpattan DPO transfer case
Jamil says he firmly believes in supremacy of the law.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Ahsan Jamil Gujjar—a close aide of Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Usman Buzdar—on Tuesday filed petition seeking unconditional apology in the Supreme Court (SC) in suo motu case pertaining to transfer of Pakpattan District Police Officer (DPO) over controversy-ridden altercation with first lady’s former Husban Khawar Maneka.
As per details garnered, Ahsan Gujjar stated that he seeks unconditional apology from apex court as he firmly belives in the supremacy of the law.
He further stated that he attended the meeting in Punjab CM House to put forth stance of Khawar Maneka and his family. He said, “I will always abide by the law”.
On the other hand, a report on political interference regarding transfer of Pakpattan DPO will be submitted in the apex court soon.
It would be suffice here to mention that Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Saqib Nisar on Thursday took suo motu notice of transfer of Pakpattan DPO Rizwan Gondal after alleged altercation with first lady Bushra Manika’s ex-husband Khawar Fareed Manika.
