Parks, restaurants, cinema houses attract people during Eid day
This year, three Eid holidays, Tuesday to Thursday were announced by the government
(Web Desk) – People including women and children thronged to the beach, cinemas and picnic places including parks across the country to celebrate Eidul Azha.
After Eid prayers on Wednesday, the faithful slaughtered cows, goats, rams and sheep to revive the Sunnah of Prophet Hazrat Ibrahim (AS). The process continued till Wednesday evening.
This year, three Eid holidays, Tuesday to Thursday were announced by the government.
Having spent the whole day of Eid performing sacrifice of animals and greeting relatives and friends, citizens were seen flocking to parks across the country including Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad.
Girls were seen enjoying the swings while children were screaming on merry-go-rounds. Adults were exuberant to see smiles on the faces of their children. Both children and adults were determined to make the best use of the free time they had before the schools and other institutions opened.
The rain on the first day of Eid made the weather pleasant in most parts of the country including Lahore and Islamabad and was an added incentive for people to visit parks and other public places.
In Peshawar, great hustle and bustle was witnessed in parks and picnic spots of the city where people assembled in large number along with children, for joy and entertainment on the third day of Eid celebrated with great enthusiasm in Khyber Pakthunkhwa.

The residents of Peshawar and adjoining areas thronged different parks and recreational spots, located in Peshawar, Kohat, Charssada and Nowshera, and moved freely due to effective security measures taken by KP Police.
On the other hand, Karachiites thronged to water parks, public parks, food restaurant and seaside with their families to fully enjoy Eid holidays. The parks and other places remained crowded on the first day of Eid.
Children clad in colorful dresses were enjoying different games, swings, snacks, cold drinks and ice creams at these points. They spent the first day of Eid offering special Eid prayers. Having greeted relatives, friends and near and dear ones, the citizens went to numerous parks and seaside.
