(WebDesk) - ISPR releases new song to promote National Tree Plantation Campaign on 72nd Independence Day of Pakistan.

To promote National Tree plantation campaign, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) releases a national song to mark 71 years of Independence with the spirit of clean Pakistan; Green Pakistan.

The moving and motivating song titled ‘Kar Aaghaz Pakistan… Kar Aghaz Pakistan, Sar Sabz Rahy… Shadab Pakistan’ was sung by soulful Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.

The lyrics are beautifully penned and highlight the significance of tree plantation to save life on the land of pure. The song emphasizes that the Green Pakistan should be an objective of every Pakistani to save the life by preserving the environment for next generations.

The video of the song features some of the exotic, spectacular and exquisite lush green sights of Pakistan which are stunningly beautiful and need our continuous attention and consideration for the certainity of life and prosperity in Pakistan. The song is meant to draw attention of every young, old, man, women and children towards the hazards of the deforestation and loss of greenery. The threat of climate change is real which can only be deal with the efforts to preserve environment. A non-polluted environment is a need of every life and an equal responsibiity of all. To mark the festivity of 71 years of Independence, Pak Army joins hands in the noble cause.

Earlier, spokesman Army Chied Maj Gen Ghafoor announced on social media that Pakistan Army is all geared up to kick off the National Tree Plantation Campaign, Sar Sabz-o-Shadab Pakistan. A simultaneous plantation of 2 Million saplings across the country in coordination with civilian organisations at national and provincial levels like, environment agencies, forest departments and agriculture departments, would be initiated by the Pakistan Army with a planned target of 10 Million trees during this monsoon.

The Chief of Army staff began his Independence Day celebrations while taking part in the mass plantation drive.

COAS and Mrs Qamar Javed Bajwa ahead of Independence Day in a special ceremony to inaugurate nation-wide tree plantation campaign – Sarsabz-o-Shadab Pakistan — at Race Course Park, where a large number of officers and their families besides schoolchildren were invited to attend, planted the saplings along with the participants of the ceremony.

Pakistanis are being encouraged to partake in the plantation campaign to achieve the goal as soon as possible.
