Imran Khan's victory margin plummeted in recount: Kh Saad
SC suspended LHCs verdict of vote recount.
(Dunya News) – Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leader Khawaja Saad Rafique on Wednesday claimed that Imran Khan’s winning margin in NA-131 plummeted by 117 votes after recounting of rejected votes of just five polling stations.
The former minister of railways took to popular micro-blogging website and stated that Election Act 2017 was completely neglected in his case and he was deprived of his basic right of recount.
Rafique had contested election against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan in Lahore’s NA-131 constituency and lost the battle by just 680 votes.

Rafique cried foul and moved Lahore High Court (LHC) which barred the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) from issuing notification of the PTI chairman’s success. However, Khan moved apex court agianst the LHC’s verdict.
Today, SC suspended LHC’s verdict of vote recount in an important constituency NA-131.
During the proceeding on the appeal of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan against the decision, Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar said that there is no need of any recounting in the constituency.
Justice Ijaz-ul-Ahsan said that hearing such issue comes under jurisdiction of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
