Rain lashes parts of Punjab for third consecutive day

Met Office has predicted more rain in different parts of the country during next 24 hours.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Rain continued for the third consecutive day in different parts of Punjab including the provincial capital Lahore on Thursday, Dunya News reported.

Pakistan Meteorological Department has predicted more rain in different parts of the country during next 24 hours.

In Lahore, rain started on Thursday night and continued till Friday morning. Rain water accumulated in the low-lying areas of the city. Rain also caused power shutdown in various localities of the provincial capital.

Rain was also reported in Faisalabad and its adjacent areas, Okara, Pakpattan, Kasur and several other cities.

According to Pakistan Meteorological Department, more rain is expected at isolated places in Zhob, Kalat, Mirpurkhas, Hyderabad, Karachi, Thatta, Malakand, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Bahawalpur divisions, Islamabad, FATA, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan during the next 24 hours.
