Pervaiz Malik will be the partys candidate from NA-133

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Taking another u-turn, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leadership on Thursday issued the ticket of NA-125 to Waheed Alam who was earlier to contest the elections from NA-133.

As the political parties are still in confusion over the distribution of party tickets, the PML-N has once again changed the candidates in two important constituencies of provincial capital of Punjab.

Waheed Alam who was earlier to contest the elections from NA-133, will now contest election from NA-125 after the constituency of Maryam Nawaz, daughter of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif was altered from NA-125 to NA-127.

Now Pervaiz Malik will be the party’s candidate from NA-133.

On the other hand, Captain (r) Muhammad Safdar, son-in-law of PML-N supremo sidelined Mehtab Abbasi over ticket allotment and issued party ticket to Murtaza Javed for NA-15 Abbottabad.

Meanwhile, PTI has issued tickets to Khurram Wattoo and Robina Shaheen after influential Wattoo family parted ways with Bilawal-led party and joined ranks of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to contest elections from NA-186 for seat in lower house of parliament and PP-185 for seat in Punjab Assembly respectively.

On Wednesday, taking u-turn again, the top brass of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) had altered constituency of Maryam Nawaz for contesting general elections 2018.

Nawaz Sharif’s political-heir apparent will now contest elections from Lahore’s NA-127. Earlier, party’s top brass had issued ticket to Maryam Nawaz to contest general elections from Lahore’s NA-125 against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Yasmeen Rashid.

Following alteration, Maryam Nawaz will now face PTI’s Jamshed Iqbal Cheema for seat in lower house of parliament.

It is worth here to mention that Maryam Nawaz—who is facing graft proceedings in Avenfield reference along with his father Nawaz Sharif and husband Capt (retd) Safdar—is currently in London attending her ailing mother Kusloom Nawaz.
