PTIs Rind challenges appellate tribunals verdict in BHC
Tribunal had rejected plea and upheld decision of RO to bar Rind from contesting elections.
QUETTA (Dunya News) – Provincial president of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Sardar Yar Muhammad Rind on Wednesday has challenged the verdict of appellate tribunal in Balochistan High Court.
On Tuesday, the tribunal had rejected the plea and upheld decision of the returning officer (RO) to bar Rind from contesting elections.
The plea was submitted on the basis of two cases against Rind after which PTI challenged the decision in Balochistan High Court however, party sources claim that the cases were baseless.
It is pertinent to remember that Rind had filed nominations papers for NA-260 and PB-17 constituencies.
Adding insult to the injuries, the appellate tribunal has also declared PTI’s Sardar Nasrullah Khan Dreshak—who had contested 2013 general elections under independent capacity—ineligible from contesting elections. He has submitted nomination papers from NA-194 Multan.
