LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Wednesday predicted additional rainfall in various cities of the country in next 24 hours.

Met Office has forecasted rainfall in Karachi on Thursday which will lower the temperature of the port city.

PMD Director Abdur Rasheed has expressed the likelihood of rainy season in June however; the rain spell will not begin in the city. The monsoon season in Karachi will begin in July.

According to PMD, mainly hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country. However, rain-thundershower with gusty winds is expected at isolated places in upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Lahore, Gujranwala, Sargodha divisions), Malakand, Hazara, Bannu, D.I.Khan, D.G.Khan, Multan, Bahawalpur, Sukkur, Larkana, Sh.Benazirabad, Karachi, Kalat, Zhob divisions, Islamabad, FATA and Kashmir.

As per synoptic situation, seasonal low lies over north Balochistan. Moist currents are penetrating over central and southern parts of the country.
