The US Embassy in Islamabad and all its consulates closed for an indefinite period.

According to a warden notice, the US Embassy in Islamabad and all its consulates in Lahore, Karachi and Peshawar have been closed for an indefinite period.The embassy has also advised the American citizens not to go to public places for security reasons and keep their travelling documents with them. The embassy has suggested its official to frequently change their itinerary and the schedule time. All the ceremonies and other official activities have been cancelled in the embassy and consulates.
