PPP to make inroads into MQM stronghold Liaqatabad today
PPP is set to hold a political rally at the Tanki Ground in FC area today.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) is set to hold a political rally at the Tanki Ground in Fc area, hoping to snatch the constituency from MQM in the upcoming elections.
PPP leader Nisar Khuhro visited the venue yesterday and said that the people of Liaqatabad are ready to embrace young Bilawal as their leader after being disappointed by MQM. The whole area has been laden with PPP flags and arrows, the electoral symbol of PPP.
A comprehensive security plan has been put in place to ensure smooth conduct of the rally. 2100 security personnel which include one SSPs, four SPs, and 15 DSPs have been deputed while 150 police women have also been called for security.
PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto and Co-Chairman Asif Zardari will address the rally.
Yester night, PPP stalwarts were seen roaming the area carrying party flags and chanting slogans.
