Militants kill 2 policemen, injur 10 in Mardan

Two policemen were killed and ten were injured in a clash with militants in Mardan on Tuesday.

According to officials, police raided a house in the Shah Dhand Baba area. The moment police entered the house, militants started firing that instantly killed Hoti Station Head Officer Inspector Mazhar Khan and Assistant Sub Inspector Mukhtar Khan, besides injuring Sub Inspector Umar Bacha, Assistant Sub Inspector Alamgir Khan and constable Abid Khan. A passerby, Riaz, was also injured in the incident. The injured men were taken to the Mardan District Hospital.Police cordoned off the area and started a search operation.
