CM Bizenjo to announce launch of 'Balochistan Awami Party' today

The CM says a new political party is being formed in the benefit of the province.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo will announce the launch of ‘Balochistan Awami Party’ today after calling it quits with Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid yesterday.

Along with him, some other PML-Q members also left the party. Five independent senators and disconcerted members of PML-N will join Bizenjo in the party.

Moreover, a 10-member transitional council will be formed on immediate basis.

Names such as Balochistan Democratic Party, Balochistan Awami Party and Democratic Alliance were under consideration for the party. All the paperwork for the formation of new party and consultation with constitutional and legal experts has been completed.

Earlier, Balochistan CM and the members met PML-Q’s head Chaudhry Shujat in Islamabad. The Chief Minister said that he has no dispute with the party however; a new political party is being formed in the benefit of the province.

Chaudhry Pervaiz said on the occasion that the party’s relationship with Balochistan is strong and everyone has to work together for Pakistan.
