Election Commission of Pakistan schedules NA-256 Khuzdar by-election after Akhtar Mengal’s resignation; polling set for April 5, with nominations open February 20–24.
BAHAWALPUR (Web Desk) - The Election Commission of Pakistan has announced the schedule for the by-election on the National Assembly seat vacated by Balochistan National Party (BNP-Mengal) chief Sardar Akhtar Mengal.
According to the schedule issued by the Election Commission, polling for NA-256 Khuzdar will be held on April 5.

Nomination papers for the by-election can be submitted from February 20 to February 24.
It is noted that Sardar Akhtar Mengal resigned from the National Assembly in September 2024, but his resignation was approved by the Speaker of the National Assembly just two days ago.
